Pan Am Jet Aircraft

In the forward rigth is an auxiliary galley placed across from the main rear galley which can be partially seen in the forward left.  The auxiliary galley was needed for  the all charter configuration which featured 180 economy seats.

1973, November, Pan Am Boeing 727-100 tail number N339PA landing at Berlin.  The aircraft is painted with blue titles on the fuselage.  Pan Am experimented with blue titles on several aircraft in 1973 but decided to keep black lettering.  In the 1980s Pan Am would adopt much larger blue lettering on aircraft. 1960s A twilight shot of the Pan Am WorldPort Terminal at New York JFK airport.  Aircraft parked nose in so the extended roof could protect passengers from rain & snow.  The idea for this design came from Berlin's Tempelhof Airport that offered passengers a completely covered ramp area.
